NVIDIA 在公布代號 Ada Lovelace 的 GeForce RTX 40 系列後，同步宣布 GeForce RTX 4090 與 GeForce RTX 4080 兩款頂級顯示卡，不過不同於前幾世代新架構顯示卡發表會會公布三個層級的產品， NVIDIA 似乎受到 GeForce RTX 30 系列庫存問題影響，黃仁勳在 Ada Lovelace 介紹章節的最後，宣布將以 GeForce RTX 3060 至 GeForce RTX 3080 作為 GeForce RTX 4080 等級以下層級產品，但該張投影片似乎也暗示 GeForce RTX 30 Ti 系列將走入歷史。

雖然 Ada Lovelace 架構為 GeForce RTX 40 系列帶來翻倍的效能，不過當前的 GeForce RTX 30 系列效能也仍相當出色，同時由於先前過於看好加密幣市場，在加密幣市場崩盤的同時，板卡廠商手中仍有相當嚴重的 RTX 30 系列庫存問題，故 NVIDIA 並未一口氣將 Ada Lovelace 架構延伸到更主流的等級，而是由 GeForce RTX 3080 暫代，同時藉由降低 GeForce RTX 30 系列價格吸引更多主流級消費者購買。
