先前就傳出三星會在 MWC 期間發表 Galaxy Note 家族最新成員、 Galaxy Note 8 ，而台灣時間昨天也正式釋出新聞稿，外觀依舊延續自 Galaxy S3 開始的風格，彷彿是一款長胖的 Galaxy Note II ；這款 8 吋搭配 S Pen 的平板電腦預計在第二季正式推出。

三星形容 Galaxy Note 8 是一款可收納於口袋、並可單手掌握的機種，除保有三星大螢幕機種的 Multi-Window 多視窗設計，加入為了閱讀需求調整最佳解析度的 Reading Mode 閱讀模式；新聞稿當中提到首度搭載 Flipboard 以及 Awesome Note 機能，前者是將各類動態資訊包括新聞、社群等作成類似告示板的顯示方式（似乎有點像 HTC One 的 BlinkFeed 首頁概念。），後者則是結合備忘錄、日記與提醒事項的記事本 app 。
這次的 S Pen 也延續先前 Note 系列的設計，包括一抽出後可彈出對應的記事功能、懸浮預覽，並再度與 WACOM 合作，於 S Pen 提供 Android 的返回首頁以及上一頁功能鍵。此外也可搭配 Smart Remote 軟體將 Galaxy Note 當作家電的多功能遙控器使用。
硬體規格方面，採用 8 吋 1280 x 800 的顯示器，與 Galaxy Note II 採用相同的 1.6GHz Exynos4 應用處理器， RAM 為 2GB ，有 16GB 與 32GB 兩種儲存空間並可透過 micro SD 擴充，相機正面 1.3MP 後 5MP ，電池容量 4,600mAh ， 3G 版本 338 克（所以應該不能打電話，且有純 WiFi 版本？）根據外電消息，國際版的 3G 版本將具備通話機能，故 8 吋電話誕生...
